Emotion Regulation as an ADHD parent

The heart of the ADHD challenge is NOT the difficulty in focusing. It is about the difficulty in regulating your emotions; the extreme highs and lows and all shades in between.
As a mum who has ADHD and having 5 ADHD children I have struggled mightily to work on my inner emotional world; to keep an even keel; to work on myself not to flare up, shout and worse when it gets stressful or one of the children acts out.
This is one of the hardest parts of managing ADHD that no one talks about.
